The hour glass

Let’s reframe it. Sit back. Turn off all the gadgets. Shut off all the noise. Enter the silence. The beautiful, lyrical silence. Then turn your attention to the hour glass sitting on the shelf in your mind.
The sands in the hour glass. Each one makes a difference. Each piece of sand slowly at first slips from top to bottom. But as the sands move they pick up speed and then you watch as it just empties out. As a child you would have a minute hour glass and when it was over you flipped it over. But not now. The sands are unstoppable. Exquisite in simplicity.
But such is life. Exquisite in simplicity. Oh, we try to complicate it so but all our efforts are meaningless. The sands keep falling through the small opening.
So, I ask you to just think about it. Stop and reflect on the sands in the hour glass. The minutes of the day. The hours in the work week. Make them count. Do your time here proud. Help someone live the dream. Give your hand for no other reason than someone needs your hand at that moment.
Each piece of sand has value. Your life is valuable at any age or stage in the journey. It is your moment. Equal in value. And….ageless.
