What does it for you?

The sun was high in the noon sky. The air was still crisp. I pulled the Triumph over to a vacant building in Hygiene,Colorado. After I got off the scrambler and took the gloves, glasses and helmet off, I sat down on an old wooden bench.

After about 15 minutes of watching a few cars and bicyclists go by, I decided to saddle back up and head up to Estes Park. About a 25 miles ride each way through the mountains. Got there , had a beer, sat and just thought how wonderful a day can be. Simple. Innocent. Quiet. Peaceful.

As I saddled back up , I put on the helmet…love the Roof helmet…brought me back to Paris, where I found it and brought it home…put on the sunglasses, zipped up the Vanson jacket, slid the gloves back on and took The Great Escape ( my name for Triumph) back home.

What does it for you? What connects you to you? What brings the completeness of the day to you? Today…for me..a lone rider wandering the mountains of time.
