Making the Days Deeper

You look around the house.

You see the things that you always see but now you really see them and stop and appreciate.

Truly appreciate.

I see the ceiling fan spinning. Its shadow reflects off the ceiling.

It is a hypnotic dance.

The candle is lit in the next room. It flickers and casts a spell.

I hear the washing machine doings its chores. It is the only sound in the house. It is the white noise that blankets the house with a calm.

The daylight is still trying to keep awake.

The red flowers on the green plants cover the patio like a child’s crayon coloring book.

Check out the things you usually ignore. They give the true texture to your day.

We are so busy doing things that we believe are important that we overlook the things that provide the back story to your day that makes the day deeper, fuller…just more.

That goes for friends too.

Reach out to them just to say thanks for the day.

The ageless experiment.
