Why is it two people choose, among all others, to live their lives with each other. When you think about it it sounds odd. In the abstract you reflect on it. Two individuals decide to forego certain experiences in life in order to share certain other experiences with each other. You see the adjustment at the beginning and periodically through their journey. Yet, as I have spent a larger part of my life together as opposed to alone it makes perfect sense to me.
The soul simply calls out for the intimate connection. The joint experience. The sharing. The morphing into someone more. In this case one and one makes infinity. The choices are more. Not less. The joys are deeper. The love is more meaningful and purposeful. The body/soul connection. The intangible that makes it all worthwhile is captured.
Two people can wander for years from place to place and then meet. From that point on, no matter where their travels may take them, they are home.
