9/11. You think about the day. You think about the date. You think about the tragedy. You reflect on the loss. The death. The horror. The sadness. The breaking apart of families and dreams about what was to be and never will be. And yet, you then think about the resilience. The spirit. The courage. The bravery. The fearless efforts. The moment in time when you are ultimately tested. We are an amazing group. We have the capacity to pick ourselves up. Look up. Connect with something more. Fight back against the negative.
Embrace the light. Understand that we are better than someone else’s attempts to tear us down. It is the getting back up that defines the fighter. It is the overcoming the tragedy and loss, remembering all the time the sacrifice, that gives us the strength to take the next steps forward.
The day of destiny awaits us all. It is living fully each day, even with that knowledge, that is the challenge. Keep the day and date in your heart and mind but look up and move forward. Moving forward is our destiny.
The ageless experiment.
