It’s Impossible. For some reason that song always was played by my dad when I was growing up. It was one of the few albums he bought that he would play on the little mono record player in the corner room up the stairs, at the end of his 12 hour work day.
It was Perry Como at his best. So many years later…as if on a different planet…I bought the song on iTunes and played it through the car speakers coming from the iPhone song app. I understand why my dad listened to it all the time. But the song sent me on my own journey.
Reframe what is possible and impossible in your day. The impossible is so possible if we just let go of self doubt and fear. Risk attempting the impossible. Don’t settle for the mere possible and routine. That is where the rut in life is found.
I think my dad listened to the song to always remind himself of what could still be. It was impossible for him not to dream. So dream.
