March 12: It is like wandering into Brigadoon. The story is told of a mystical village that appears one day every 100 years. Each century though feels no longer than one evening to the residents. Is it a blessing or a curse. Again, like most things it is your own take on time, life, meaning and the journey. To me it was romantic. Maybe that is why I enjoyed performing in the show in college. Each night you walked into the mist, found the mystical village, found your love and lived a dream that bridged time and space.
Wandering into the small Colorado town was like that for us. It felt as if we stepped through a time tunnel and into a Rocky Mountain Brigadoon. Quaint, charming, quiet, timeless.
My mind drifts off. Can not we make wherever we are our own personal and family mystical home where quaint resides, charm lives, quiet abounds and you exist timeless. It is a place where love never sleeps and each day is a new day as if you awake from a 100 year nap to know you have one day to be, experience, love, chill, relax and care.
An enchanted cottage on a hilltop appearing out of the mist for a single day each 100 years. Create your enchanted home. Toast the day, rest in the evening and wake up to the new world each morning. Since we created the machinery of the clock and time who is to say we didn't get it wrong. Maybe it is a timeless and ageless trip through the mist of our lives. Good morning. Welcome to your life.
