We reached the top of the ridge on the way from Niwot to Crested Butte. At that moment the valley opened before us. A valley of snow. A valley of horses. A valley of nature. Then the drive back up the mountain. Both the mountain and the valley have their own beauty.
It got me thinking about the mountains and valleys in our day and life. Each has its beauty. We must appreciate the highs and lows. Each has its place in our life. The lows provide the challenges to build up our strength and insight. The highs permit us to look out and reflect on the possibilities.
So what does the ride tell us. Go with the flow. Take the highs and lows in your stride. Each has its place. Both are required to tell the whole story of you. Neither one alone defines you. It is both that tell your story. The mountains and valleys await you. Enjoy the drive. Remember they both are needed for your story to be your story.
