The photos are a mixture of faces, places, events and changing times.
There are probably over 60 separate pictures living together in this one frame.
All frozen in time yet very much alive right now.
From first dates to wedding moments to scenes of soulful dreaming to the joys of young adventurers to parents and children.
Grandparents from the “old country” to graduation pictures of a parent to military uniforms to a scene at a beach of a young girl staring into the distance seeking her future, who a few pictures above that beach scene is a wife, then mother, then grandmother….now gone.
A Sunday morning of a family history.
The hairdos are different. The cars are different. The clothes are different.
The dreams are the same.
The frailty of time is the same.
I see me in the glass reflection staring at the photo of me at about 8 years old.
I look at that young boy in the reflection. I study the photo too.
The ageless experiment.
