The Triumph Scrambler glides over the bridge from the mainland onto the island. From the bridge it is a short hop to the lighthouse at the eastern tip of the island. The bike settles onto the gravel parking lot facing the sand, shells and water.
There is drift wood floating in and a starfish lies on the shoreline. A crab hurries to safety to avoid the bird seeking a breakfast meal.
I turn the engine off and find a spot to rest watching nature's morning story play out.
Walking over to a nearby restaurant, order some morning coffee and head back to my spot to continue watching the story.
How is it that it never gets old. A sunrise. A sunset. A wave coming in and the shells resting on the beach.
The grandest manmade creation can not top this scene.
Never has. Never will. The beauty of the simplicity of the parts all dancing in unison.
Some ask me what is there to do there? Aren't you bored? Or they say they need action and stimulation. I wonder. Bored? Not at all. Action. Always. Stimulation. How could you not be stimulated witnessing the dance of nature.
It connects me to the larger story. It puts life in context. It permits the nonsense to fade away. It shows me that the dance is timeless and ageless.Maybe that is why I am forever drawn to it. It is power and energy used with ease and calm. You learn to spend your day with power and energy but with ease and in a calm way.
Forever vibrant no matter what manmade crisis you are presented with. What a teacher so often ignored.
Find time to wake up with the sun and be part of the morning awakening. Be part of it, in it and not racing through it. Learn from the ultimate teacher. The Ageless Experiment
