The doctor is world renowned. A book is written about his life. An inspirational book about his journey to discover his gift of healing. A special person who performs incredible concise surgeries.
When I met him it was pivotal. He took my hand in his, looked into my eyes and said it is time.
The time is now. He was right.
How do you trust. Why do you have faith in another. What is that all about.
The unspoken. The mystery of the connection. The belief in the process. It is all intangible. It is all at a level way above the intellect. It is some spiritual zone you enter when you place your destiny in the hands of another.
It may not be a doctor. It could be any arena.
It is a child looking into a parent's eyes with that same faith. Belief. Trust. Connection. You are then transported to a place that you may only visit a few times in your life.
Accepting the gift of being present for another. Unconditional. Knowing that the outcome has been put in your hands. The fate of another in your hands. Every new parent knows that feeling.
The doctor was of no particular age to me. He was ageless. I just knew he knew.
