improv and life

After I attended an improv class I realized that all of life is an improv. There is no script on your nightstand. When you wake up you don’t read the script of the day, memorize your lines and head out the door. Rather you are faced with scene after scene, encounter after encounter, challenge after challenge and your improv skills come into play. Are you present in the moment, are you joyful that you are given the chance to play your part in the unfolding day, are you joyful to be able to create an experience of fun and optimism in the day you are participating in and meeting the day on your terms with a “ yes and” attitude. You are the star of your life story. Not a victim. Not a walk on part but the bright star of your life story. You build relationships with your improv skills. You make those around you shine bright too. What a joy.
