Don’t wait to celebrate

It has been a difficult time in dealing with the loss of a dear friend. I know that it is inevitable. I know that time is an illusion. I know that sometimes it feels like we are just on some big anthill scurrying in and out and up and down, but then you meet one person who is unique. Authentic. Above the fray. Seeing clearly into the muddy night rain and you want them to stay. It all makes sense for a bit.
But time runs its own game. Time sets the rules and we only think we are a player but we are just trying to hang on as the clock ticks away.
So I ask you…relax. Be brave. Seize the moment. Live large. Embrace all parts of the day.
Do it the right and fair way. Be the light in the dark moment. Laugh at the absurdity of it all and find the fun in your one moment in time.
Look in the mirror. Make sure you like what you see. You begin and end with that image. So you better be good with what you stood for and what you wouldn’t stand for. Saturday I fly to Miami for the celebration of a life. Celebrate your life each day…don’t wait.
