February 25: But we have today, you are here now, was his answer. And so it was.
We sat on the floor playing with all the toys that were scattered around the family room. There were pirate figures, a pirate ship, a castle with dragons and knights, a lot of horses and other animals which included so many different kinds of bears. He was just so involved in the imaginary world of a child. Exactly where he was in that world, the stories that unfolded in his mind must have been something to behold.
And he was clearly in the moment.
Yet the time had come for our visit to end. The airport was an hour away and the clock was ticking. The bags were packed and we were concerned about traffic congestion.
Our mind was as scattered as the toys on the floor. "I am going to miss you" was what we said as we sat there with him playing and defending the ship and the castle. And then this little ,beautiful child said " But you are here now, where does this piece in the puzzle go".
You are here now. Where does this piece in the puzzle go.
There is only the now. Stay centered on it. In the puzzle of our day, in the puzzle of our life…you are here now. You have today.
There is always another plane.
The now is where you experience the ageless experiment.
