A gentle insightful moment

Last night we saw Garrison Keillor at the Paramount in Denver. The art of the story teller. The humorist. The observer. The clever eye that has a kindness  about the things it sees. The connection between us. The beginnings and ends. The connecting threads that bind us together. How I wish there were more Garrisons and less of the harsher critics. More than ever we need gentle. Kind. Decent. Hopeful. Joy. It brought a smile to my face but a tear to my eye.  Are we losing the essence of who we are and can still be? Maybe it is an individual choice. A choice to be the gentle observer. There is a wisdom to him that transcends all the nonsense of the day that tries to pass for clever. Make the choice. You might just reconnect with that better part of each of us.
