Time, eternity, memory

Doesn’t it fascinate you? It does me. Time.  The magic and mystery of it all.  Think about it.  We live within the fluid of time.  We are surrounded by it on all sides.  Past, present, future, memory, hopes, dreams, sadness, happiness and on and on all taking place, unfolding in the fluid movement of time.  One day maybe it will be discovered that time is a living breathing entity all its own.  We have just been placed here to travel in time’s universe.  Who can say.  Memory lets us time travel.  It is our own time machine.  Ever look at a still picture and then remember how it came to be. Where you were. Who you were with.  What was being said.  How you felt.  Why you wore the clothes you wore.  Who mattered to you then. Where are they now.  Why did you let go.  Why did they let go. Can you reconnect.  What do you see when you look in the mirror. Who do you see.  Where did it go.  How will you choose to spend this moment.  The present is here for only a split second.   It is here for an instant. Then it is past.  And you are reflecting on what just happened.  Time. Our moment in eternity.
