The final effort and the possibility

It was a tough one. Especially in the “box” , as we all lovingly call the Crossfit space, with the heat and humidity being at, what seemed to be, crazy highs. But there we were, the warriors of the morning. Rings dips. Snatches. Jumping rope. Squats and more. Over and over and over.

As I sat on the bench afterward, drained and soaked, I asked myself why. But it just feels so good to push yourself to what you don’t think you can do. So often we seem to stop short of the full effort. I don’t know why but we appear to pull up short just before the final, last bit of effort. But then I realize we must push  on. What else is there but the push forward. That is what life is all about.  The push forward when there appears to be nothing left in the tank.

So today, when you feel like there is no more to give, step back, look inside and just know you can do it. You were built to meet the challenge.  That is where the moment meets the possibility. The final push.

The ageless experiment.
