Promise

After all is said and done it comes down to a promise.  A promise we make to ourselves.  A promise when we were young and just starting out.  A promise when the sky was still clear and the future unfiltered. A promise of who we choose to be in the unfolding journey. A promise that we will keep our word, act with integrity, be noble in our actions and honest in our intentions.  A promise. That simple.  Did you keep it. Can you go back and dust it off and begin anew.  Can you forgive yourself your failings and recapture the promise.  You will just feel so much better.
