It was just too much to take in all at one time. There she was. Pink laced sneakers, jeans and a tee shirt that said Rock N Roll Forever. She stood in the restaurant. In the middle of the restaurant and got into a kind of duck, waddle stance, kind of squatted to and then began kind of bouncing up and down to some music playing in her head. Her hair had a life of its own. Her smile was contagious. She is nothing less than a bundle of joy, love and innocence. And she is the ripe old age of 2. When was the last time you danced with abandon, let your inner child see the light of day again, release the serious and replace it with the playful. I watched her. I turned to watch my daughter watching her daughter spin around in the restaurant. You can not buy this moment. Time races by. I recalled my daughter spinning at age 2 in some restaurant. We are given the gift of memory to time travel. In that moment both my daughter and granddaughter were dancing in the middle of the restaurant. I could sense them holding hands. An ageless experiment. Take your child's hand today, no matter the age, and dance.
