In a flash.
In a heartbeat.
In the flickering of the candle.
The wind blows out the light.
Gone.
Was there but now not.
Not just a life but a relationship, a together journey, a mutual story.
Then gone.
Abruptly.
So what lesson does that teach us.
To treasure the moment.
To appreciate the now.
To be honest and true.
To be clear and concise.
To be unambiguous in what you stand for.
To proudly present yourself.
To be unashamed in your flaws.
To be understanding of all of our perfect imperfections.
To laugh a lot.
To shrug your shoulders and at least know you honestly tried.
The judges will judge. That is what judges do.
But be centered in the knowledge you made the honest effort.
That is all you can ask of anyone.
The ageless experiment.
