And then it ends. The lights are turned off, the door is closed and locked, the last shelf is emptied.
The parade has moved on to the next town. New dramas, new alliances, new villains and sheriffs to enforce the rules.
As you sit back in the rocking chair and look out over the story, did you give a good measure of yourself.
Did you answer the call. Did you care for a friend. Where you there when everyone else wasn't.
Did you contribute when no one was watching.
He really made a difference. Especially during Hurricane Andrew.
He was there. Tireless. Caring. Worrying.
And now, we raise a glass and toast a friend.
Well done.
