Call it a fog or a mist. It may just be that we were walking through a cloud. But there it was. North of Tangboche and south of Dangboche in the Khumbu region of the Himalayas.
We wandered into a rhododendron forest. A forest of Rhododendrons at 12,000 feet or more.
So many different colors. So many different feelings. We felt as if we entered the land of OZ.
You could feel the quiet. The quiet was alive around us.The quiet became part of us.
The mist, the cloud, the chill in the morning air, the climb through a forest like one we had never seen before.
It was intoxicating to the senses.
Maybe that is what we brought back with us. We brought back the quiet. We brought back a walk through a cloud surrounded by a multi-colored rainbow of flowers.
In a loud moment can you find the quiet spot. Can you find the land where noise ceases.
In that quiet spot you can find the question to ask.
In that quiet spot you are ageless.
Take a walk into the quiet. It is all part of your journey.
