He died today.
He wasn't supposed to die today.
It was not on his calendar.
It wasn't put on his schedule between lunch and the client conference.
It was incredibly inconvenient.
It disrupted so many events and other agenda items.
But died he did.
Everything seemed so silly then.
Every so important conversation or decision became so absurd.
Every slight that he thought about all evening that ruined his time with his kids joined the territory of the outrageous waste of time.
Wasted time.
Time filled with unimportant had always crowded out the precious moments that mattered in the end.
What matters.
Before death becomes the unwelcome agenda item, reevaluate and try to get what's important on the top of the to do list.
He died today.
I realized though that he was gone some time ago.
Recapture your time.
The ageless experiment.
