March 9:We sat facing each other. The microphones were properly placed so that the recording would be clear. The camera was capturing the moment. It had been a long session going through his life and how he got where he got . Where he got was high up the success ladder. Yet he, with all that success, was a humble person.
How does that happen. Whether going up or down the success ladder some just carry it better than others. .
Now we had come to the last question. In tough times, personal or otherwise, what is your core belief. Is there a core belief. What does your center line look like.
What phantoms do some others face that you don't or you just learned how to adjust to the phantoms.
The pause was for a bit. The answer was simple and complex at the same time. "It is not about me. It never was" was the response. "There is a larger picture. The fabric is so textured. Look for the larger story in the journey. The part where you are connected to the universal story. You must see the connection to that world if you want to succeed in this one."
It was as if he said set the self aside and find the Overself ,as was written about in the wonderful book/diary The Hermit in the Himalayas.
We talked a bit more and it was done.
Find that person, sit with them, ask the questions you need/want to ask. Don't let them slip away before you find the core answer. You just might find a map to assist you on the ageless experiment.
