Some people just have the knack. Maybe it is the difference between the glass half full vs the glass half empty crowd.
You see it all the time. Some can cope with major crisis and others crumble in a minor wind storm of life.
Some see the context and put life is the larger historic picture frame while others wear blinders and therefore can only see the immediate problem and that problem has no context or historic texture.
Maybe that is why the comment effected me so.
The story was horrific. The accident, the consequences of the accident, the long term ..forever changes..of the incident.
And yet the comment was…some times you have to be lucky at the most unlucky moments in life.
Talk about reframing the event.
Talk about seeing the glimmer of light in the darkness.
Talk about wanting that person by your side in the hard times.
There will always be moments of hard times.
But if you can see the luck in the unluck…it could have been worse and we are blessed because stuff happens in life…you have a chance of making it through the storm and getting back onto the beach at daybreak.
The ageless experiment.
