Some times it just makes no sense. Some times it feels like a lost cause. Some times you look around and sense it got away from us somehow. Oil spills and wars fill the mind and the airwaves. Hubris seems to have taken over.
And then you see a glimmer of hope for us all. It usually comes in a small package. It usually is surrounded by friends and family. It usually is very simple and natural. It is usually a showing of love and concern for another. It usually comes in a celebration.Only then you can recall why we are here in the first place. Not to gain land. Not to prove a point. Not to win a war or make the most money and die with the most toys. It is so basic and pure that it gets lost in the glitter of what today has become. Yet this week we celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, Father's Day and other "game changing" days. And this weekend we celebrated a wedding. A gathering. A rejoicing. A barn. Liquid sunshine. Laughter. Greetings and farewells. All with those who matter. Isn't that what matters.
So hug your family. Greet a friend. Let go of the grudges. Release the farewells to the cosmos and live the moment with love. An ageless experiment.
