The coffee was hot. The ride to the office was slow as I made my way down Biscayne Blvd It was close to 79th St that the red light and traffic stopped me. Some storefront shops, a bus stop, some folks hurrying to the Social Security Office not to far north of the light filled the scene..
As I sipped the coffee I turned to the left and my eyes caught the second story apartment above a fast food cafe. Hard to tell if the cafe was still in business or not. I saw oriental lanterns hanging around the front door to the apartment. I saw the back of a sitting Buddha. I saw a few planters with lush greens plants growing. The light changed and I was off again. Somewhere on that block someone was trying to find peace, tranquility and a calm.
In the middle of it all they were trying to build an oasis.
Don't we all try to do that. An island of tranquility.
As the days weigh on you find the time to find your personal island of tranquility.
Any time, any where, any place, just create it. An ageless experiment.
