The key is moderation. Yet that key seems to have been misplaced. It is all levels of extreme these days. Black and white. Yet the shades in between are where real understanding and compassion and empathy take place. The center of the road.
Some times it feels like moderation is a bad word. Yet nature lives there. Wisdom resides there.
Moderation and subtle join each other. Style and class are found in moderation.
I saw them in the middle of the road today. Two children and their mom.
One daughter sat in a wheelchair. Her legs were in braces. She could not have been more than 8 years old. The older daughter, maybe 11, was showing her sister some handheld computer gizmo. They were laughing. Their mom looked old and tired. She was no more than 40,if that. They were in the middle of the street as traffic raced by. They were waiting for the light to change to get the rest of the way across.
No extremes there. They were right in the middle waiting to get across to go….don't know. Maybe the Denny's restaurant for a breakfast treat.
Simple and profound.
Subtle textures .
Something about them got me thinking about moderation.
The center line of life between everyone else racing by in different directions.
Can you find your center line.
An ageless experiment..
