Does the center hold

Throughout our history we have been tested by many negative, dangerous, and challenging moments. At the same time as these challenges have occurred positive, thoughtful, and courageous voices and individuals have come forward.  Whether these courageous ones were always there waiting to address the challenge or the times created them it is unclear.  It is probably a little bit of both.  The question is then joined… does the center hold.  Do the good and decent retake the hill so to speak.  It may be a question of faith in our higher calling.  A belief in a bigger purpose. An understanding that although we are flawed in so many ways we are a noble and honorable group that wants our legacy to be more than an immediate negative incident.  So the center holds because we ask more of ourselves. We want to know that we held the line and passed the good forward.  Think about it.
