She was a little girl just yesterday. She had her dolls and red bicycle.
She loved to be tucked in before she went to sleep. She giggled as her light was turned off…with the hall light still on.
It seems like yesterday.
But time is time. High school. College. Graduate school. Marriage. Children.
Her room is still there. But she is now cross country watching her daughter play with her doll, ride her red bicycle and be tucked in at night…with the hall light on.
So it was no effort at all to wake up early, catch a cross country plane and be the surprise at her surprise birthday party.
Where does 40 years go.
Time.
How do you spend it.
Same old stuff or with the urgency of knowing the little girl will be tucking her little girl in bed with just the beat of a second.
The circle.
Keep connected.
Keep involved.
Keep surprising yourself.
The ageless experiment.
