I recall the tale of those who supposedly came across the structure in an overgrown part of the jungle. It was totally unexpected. They had been trekking for awhile enjoying the scenery, the landscape, the smells and feel of this part of the journey.
As they wandered down one vine covered path, out of the corner of the eye they spotted it.
It appeared to be made of either marble or some valuable stone.
The words were deeply cut into part of it. It clearly took great labor.
"All who enter…".a few letters or words were missing but it seemed to say "beware…". "Respect the…." couldn't make out if it said "power" or "pure awe"
Whatever it said it was very self important.
Yet here it was. Lost in the forest. Overtaken by the trees. Reduced to a sad reflection of a long ago something.
Isn't that the way it is some times. Some things just sink under their own weight. Vanish. Lost.
Why do certain things collapse. Who can say.
As they walked on they made up tall tales of what it was, who it was, why it was.
But at the end of the day it wasn't there any longer. Whatever it was had collapsed.
You see it in lives too. You see the collapse in some but the flight to new heights in others. Who can say why.
As we continue this journey look for the large open spaces to spread wings. Let your story be heard. Find your voice.
Don't be a mystery never to be solved. Present yourself and live the ageless experiment.
